Texas sun, wind-driven rain, and 100-degree summers eat cheap exterior paint in 3–4 years. A proper exterior repaint with the right primer, the right product, and full prep should last 10–12 years on stucco and fiber-cement, 7–10 years on wood siding. Here's how we get there.
Our exterior process
- Pressure wash all surfaces, scrape loose paint, sand bare wood.
- Caulk every joint, seam, window frame, and trim transition.
- Spot-prime bare wood, stains, and tannin-bleeding cedar with Zinsser or KILZ.
- Replace rotted trim, fascia boards, and soffit panels (carpentry built in).
- Two coats of Sherwin-Williams SuperPaint, Duration, or Emerald Exterior — your choice.
- Spray + back-roll or back-brush so paint actually bonds, not just sits on top.
- Trim, doors, shutters sprayed for a uniform finish.
- Full cleanup including paint chips off your landscaping.

Timeline
A single-story North Dallas home typically takes 3–5 working days. Two-story homes with brick + Hardie mix run 5–8 days. We watch the weather and won't paint in wet or sub-50° conditions.

Written 5-year workmanship warranty on exterior paint. Manufacturer warranties on the coatings themselves are passed straight through.
