Flooring failures almost always trace back to two things: the wrong product for the slab, or the prep skipped. We install hardwood, engineered, LVP, and tile across North Dallas and we do the prep work other crews shortcut.
What we install
- Solid hardwood (3/4" nail-down) — best over wood subfloors
- Engineered hardwood — glue-down on slab, dimensionally stable in Texas humidity swings
- Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) — waterproof, kid/pet-proof, ideal for whole-house
- Porcelain & ceramic tile — wet areas, entries, sunrooms
- Natural stone — travertine, marble, limestone
Prep we do (and others skip)
- Moisture test slabs with a calcium chloride or RH probe
- Self-leveler on dips and high spots — not just embossing leveler
- Vapor barrier where required by the manufacturer
- Crack isolation membrane under tile in slab cracks
- Acclimation period for hardwood (3–7 days on site)
- Old flooring + tack strip + glue residue fully removed
What's included in every install
- Furniture moved out and back
- Old flooring tear-out & disposal
- Underlayment appropriate to the product
- Quarter-round or shoe molding (matched & painted)
- Transitions between rooms and surface types
- Final clean and a walk-through
Timeline
A 2,000-sq-ft LVP install typically finishes in 3–5 days. Hardwood with acclimation and finishing runs 7–10 days. Tile is 2–4 days per room.
