Trim and millwork is the detail layer that makes a house feel finished. Good trim has tight miters, scribed-to-floor fits, and zero visible nail holes after paint. That's the standard we hold our finish carpenters to.
What we install
- Baseboards — 4", 5", 6", 7" profiles, painted or stained
- Crown molding — single-piece or built-up stacked profiles
- Casing — door and window trim, mitered or block-corner
- Chair rail & wall paneling
- Wainscoting — board-and-batten, shaker, beadboard, raised panel
- Coffered & beamed ceilings
- Accent walls — fluted, slat, picture frame
- Stair skirts & risers
How we install
- Materials acclimate to the house for 48 hours
- Studs located and marked; we shoot into framing, not just drywall
- 22.5° and 45° miters cut to fit each corner — no caulk-bombing gaps
- Joints glued and brad-nailed for tight closure
- All nail holes filled twice (shrinkage)
- Caulked at the wall, at every joint, and at the ceiling
- Sanded smooth before paint
- Painted with two coats of trim enamel (Emerald Urethane, Advance, or equal)
Timeline
A whole-house baseboard replacement typically runs 3–5 days. Crown molding in a single great room is 1–2 days. Wainscoting accent walls are 2–3 days including paint.
